Visit from the Latvian Paying Agency
On 24 August colleagues from the Latvian Paying Agency, Rural Support Service, visited the National Paying Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture (NPA). In the open discussion the challenges that the NPA faces in preparation for the new programming period were presented, as well as measures that have been taken to tackle them. The work model of the NPA was also discussed, including the approach of evaluating the NPA performance results, structural changes foreseen in the new period. The guests from Latvia familiarised themselves with the technological innovations that have been implemented, including introduction of the Area Monitoring System.
Colleagues not only gained knowledge and found out about good practices, but also shared information about their agency's preparatory work for the transition period.
After the meeting, the representatives of both agencies highlighted the benefits of the bilateral cooperation and expressed hope that such meetings will be held also in the future.
